Invitation to Young People of Townsville
The Philip Leong Youth Programme Committee would like to invite residents within the Townsville region who are 27 years of age or under, to apply for the Philip Leong Youth Programme Bursary.
The Philip Leong Advisory Committee created the Philip Leong Youth Programme to give young people a chance to achieve their best, for the benefit of the Townsville community. Each year, we are looking to give support to young people who exhibit the potential and desire to further their talents, but who may without assistance struggle.
We have more than one category available of up to $10,000 for young individuals – there is a scholarship to assist with the cost of study, rent, tutoring and textbooks, or there is also a bursary available for a young person looking at furthering their talents to assist with their personal development in a business start-up grant.
We are looking for young people who embody the spirit of Philip Leong who, with the support of this grant, can further assist the Townsville community and contribute to the business growth of the region.
The Philip Leong Youth Programme is available to all young people who are 27 years of age or younger, who are living in the Townsville region, and they must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia. Applicants are assessed on their individual talent and applications, regardless of their personal or family’s financial standing or background, so all young people are encouraged to apply. You can apply for any amount from $500 up to $10,000 depending on financial assistance required.
